These portraits depict Chihero and Bô near the end of their journey. I decided to paint the scenes that showed the moment they departed back to where their trials all began, hoping to rekindle a part of themselves in order to heal. I believe the emotion expressed here really captures Chihero and Bô's gratitude and deeper understanding of where their journey has brought them.
